How to Survive Winter: Beauty Edition

Winter is a tough time of year for our skin. My lips are always eternally chapped, every time I wash my hands I need to apply lotion and all I want to do is a take a hot bath with a glass of wine. Luckily there is an endless stream of products out there that can help combat those harsh winter conditions.

Here are some of my go-to beauty products that help get me through the winter season.

How I use the products:

Grace & Stella Anti-Wrinkle + Energizing Eye Masks

These eye masks give my under eyes the extra energy they need when I need to be up early. They are perfect to put on when I start getting ready in the morning after washing my face. By the time I am ready to put on my makeup, me eyes look awake and energized. Not to mention they are a pretty shade of gold. This package came from the Winter 2017 FabFitFun box, but they do sell them directly through the Grace & Stella website.

Lano Intense Hand Cream in Lemon

I suffer from dry hands year round, but they get especially dry in the winter. I am always trying the find the perfect lotion that keeps them hydrated and soft.

Juice Beauty GREEN APPLE Peel Full Strength

I use this face peel once a week to keep my skin refreshed and infuse it with Vitamins A, C and E. The full strength is not for those that have sensitive skin. The directions suggest leaving it on for 10 minutes and I usually leave mine for 5-7 minutes.

Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment Advanced Therapy

This lip treatment is my ultimate surviving winter beauty go-to product. I don't know about you, but I hate the feeling of chapped lips. This lip balm helps keep my lips hydrated and improves the overall texture.

Herbivore Detox Bath Salts

There is nothing like taking a warm bath on a cold night. These bath salts are made to detoxify your body and clear your mind.

Mario Badescu Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea Facial Spray

The Mario Badescu Rosewater facial spray is a cult-favorite. I personally am not a huge fan of rose scented fragrances, but I love the benefits of a facial spray. I was excited when Mario Badescu launched a second facial spray, the Aloe, Cucumber and Green Tea Facial spray. It feels so refreshing on your skin. I like to use it after I put on my make up, almost like a setting spray and throughout the day when I need a refresher.

Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum

Another Mario Badescu product that I love, is their Vitamin C Serum. I put the serum on under my moisturizer before I go to bed every other night. It helps to brighten and even out my skin tone.

Lapcos Face Masks Variety Pack

Paper face masks are EVERYWHERE right now. Honestly, I was hesitant to try them at first. I couldn't get over how ridiculous I thought I would look wearing the masks. Eventually I got over my hesitations and tried one and once I did, I was hooked. They are so easy to use! I especially love taking them on trips, they are the perfect refresher after a long flight. This variety pack gives you every kind of treatment you would need!

NelsonJ Moisture Healing Mask

Not only does our skin suffer in the winter, but our hair does too. I always find that it becomes a little lifeless. I love using a hair mask once a week to put some moisture back into my hair. This hair masks not only hydrates, but also heals the hair as well and enhancing your volume while controlling frizz.
